Hard News Notes

    Hard news story should be + or - 600 words. Usually on front page. Starts with a lead where when why who and how. the bod is opinions of people interviewed narrative a bit.Summarize the story at the beginning. Soft news's not  time sensitive. Feature story explores an issue in narrative form. Editorial persuasive one sided opinionated.  Hard news important info first then non crucial information then information they don't necessarily need. So that you can stop reading at any time. Allows for editing space.
